From extending your local dive season to diving in remote Arctic destinations and exploring cold water dive sites teeming with life, drysuit diving also keeps you warm on multi-dive days and is useful when you don’t want to spend time getting in and out of a cold wetsuit.
The program consists of:
Our SSI Dry Suit Diving course begins with a theoretical lesson where we discuss the different types of dry suits, their features and possible accessories. We will also review the basic knowledge of the cold water environment and its consequences on the diver's body. Additionally, we will discuss the theory of dry suit use along with its proper maintenance.
During pool and open water training, we will show you how to put on and take off a dry suit. We will be practicing buoyancy in your new and important piece of diving equipment and will show you how to deal with dry suit emergencies that are unique to this type of diving.
Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Dry Suit Diving certificate and be ready to explore new sites.
