This course teaches you how to take great photos and reminisce about your previous underwater experiences. The SSI program provides in-depth knowledge about the correct use of your underwater camera while diving. The course consists of a combination of theory and practice in both the pool and in open water. During this complete training you will learn a theoretical background of your equipment use and you will have ample time to convert new knowledge into practical skills.
The program consists of:
Our SSI Photo & Video course starts in class by familiarizing you with the basic concepts of photography and video. Along with an explanation of how the water environment affects the shooting of images. We discuss the types of underwater cameras and their most important specifications. As usual, you will have the opportunity to review the learning material in the SSI app before the lesson and prepare any questions you may have.
In the pool we will work on the correct positioning of you as a diver while taking photos and videos, together with practicing taking pictures from different angles, lighting and filters for the camera. Finally, we will go to TODI (Belgium), an indoor diving paradise full of tropical freshwater fish. Here you can try out your new skills in real life. At the end we will discuss the pictures and choose a nice series of images!
