This specialization is an essential way to expand your diving knowledge. The program consists of five intensive theory lessons, where you will learn in-depth information about diving physics, physiology and equipment. During the course, you will develop a complete understanding of the underwater environment and its effect on the human body.

In the SSI Science of Diving course we dive deep into diving knowledge. As always, you start with the online theory materials, which you can read at home at your own pace in your SSI app. During the five theory lessons in the Scublue Shop you refresh and deepen the basic concepts of physics related to diving.
We discuss topics such as human physiology and the impact of diving on natural body processes. We delve deeper into the concept of decompression sickness and other potential threats related to diving. During the extensive lessons you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the interesting topics with your instructor and fellow students.
After completing the program, you will receive the SSI Science of Diving specialty certificate.
